The Student Only Issue 

This issue marks our first fall issue – an online issue devoted solely to the works of HCTC students and those students taking classes with an HCTC faculty member.  To jumpstart the first students only issue, we decided to have a contest – a HORROR contest.  It seemed fitting – one of our workshop leaders, a great writer by the name of CS Johnson, will be offering free workshops during our 2009 Spring Writers Conference.  We thought we would have our students show her what horror they could drum up. She judged out story contest – and we hope you like the stories.

Photos – lots of photos.  We live in such a wonderful place.  You never know what you will find just around the corner, and our students captured some wonder images.  These images really show what a creative spirit and a handy camera can capture.  Let us know what you think of our student photography.    

The future student only fall issues will have a themed contest, but the issue will have an open general submission, which means that future issues will include many more student voices.  See Submission Guidelines for details.
