If you aren’t seeing your course shells
on your KYVU Portal, there can be several reasons.
Here are some tips that may help:
- Check
to ensure the course is listed with a web mode in peoplesoft.
-
Check that you are listed as the instructor in peoplesoft and
KYVU’s eRMA. If the course originally went to KYVU with
STAFF as instructor, it may not have been updated at KYVU. You
can contact KYVU – 877-740-4357, your campus KYVU Coordinator
or me to correct it on KYVU’s side.
-
It can take up to two days from the time the mode was changed
in peoplesoft for the shell to be created.
Once you’ve
checked the above the following may help if they still aren’t
showing:
Angel
If your course is an Angel course you may need to turn on your disabled
courses. Future courses have been disabled in the Angel portal so
students do not have access to the shell.
Faculty can set Angel to display disabled courses. Please make sure
you’ve done this (how to below), then let me know if your
courses still are not showing.
How to:
-
Login to KYVU
-
At the top of the Courses area of the portal, click the white
button with the yellow gear on it. This is the Course settings
button.
- Click
the yes option after “show disabled courses” (toward
the bottom of the page)
- Click
Save

You will now be able to see all courses in your portal.
WebCT
If you don’t see your course in WebCT when you click on the
Instructor link from the KYVU portal, try the student link. If you
have access here, let me know and I’ll get it corrected.
If none of these do the trick, let me know and we’ll investigate
further.
