Instruction Modes

Instruction Mode	Description
In Person	A class offered by traditional classroom instruction.
In Person Web Enhanced	A class that meets regularly at the campus location and uses the internet to supplement instruction.
In Person Hybrid	A class that meets approximately 50% at the campus location and 50% online.
Online	A class offered by the Kentucky Virtual Campus that has no more than two proctored exams.
ITV Web Enhanced	Classes delivered through compressed video from one campus location to other campus locations and uses the internet to supplement instruction.
ITV Hybrid	Classes delivered through compressed video from one campus location to other campus locations and meets approximately 50% at the campus location and 50% online.

Section Numbering

Contained in Section Nbr	Description	Example	Explanation
L	Laboratory	45L1	Courses in which students will be carrying out experiments, perfecting skills, or practicing activities under the direction of a faculty member.
C	Clinical	45C1	A form of instructional delivery which is applicable to many health and human service programs and may occur in a facility that provides professional clinical services to the public.
R	Recitation or Discussion	46R1	The part of the course designed to review lecture and expand concepts of the lecture course.
P	Learning Community Block	49P1	Two or more classes that are paired together and taught in a coordinated fashion. The material covered in each class reinforces concepts and skills learned in other classes in the block. A student must register for all classes paired together in the block. (Example: GE 101 49P1 and MT 55 49P1)
T	ITV	47T1	Courses delivered through compressed video from one campus location to other campus locations.
Z	Online	45Z1	A class offered by the Kentucky Virtual Campus that has no more than two proctored exams.
